The Wireless Deer Fence^® deer control system consists of a series of unobtrusive, independent green posts that are placed in your yard where deer are likely to find them. Each post contains a miniature charging circuit, powered by two AA batteries, that maintains voltage across stainless steel spring wire electrodes at the top of the post.

The blue top piece, which secures the electrodes, has a spike in the center that holds the scented lure tube. When you are working with Wireless Deer Fence^® deer deterrent posts, the bright blue color of the top makes it easier to maintain awareness of the part of the product that can give you a mild shock.

The short stake at the bottom of the Wireless Deer Fence^® deer repellent post pushes into the ground to hold the post upright.

The attractant used to entice the deer to touch the electrodes is a proprietary mixture of pleasant food scents that deer like. The scent chemicals are incorporated into a polyethylene resin that is shaped like a small tube. Each attractant should be changed about once a month while the Wireless Deer Fence^® deer control system is in use; a small screwdriver-like insertion tool makes changing the attractants quick and easy.

The Wireless Deer Fence^® deer repellent posts are made from UV-stabilized PVC plastic to resist the sun's damaging rays. The posts are 19 inches tall and weigh about 6 ounces each.

The price is $59.95 for a box of three posts and a one-year supply of attractant. Shipping within the US and Canada is included. An insertion/testing tool is included for inserting the scented resin tubes and testing the posts.

Each post requires two AA batteries. Batteries are not included. Battery life is one year for high- quality alkaline batteries.
